Boccia & Kurling Competition

Last Thursday morning, 8 children from KS2 attended the annual town Boccia and Kurling competition held at Lord Butler Leisure Centre.

Our school was split into 2 teams and both teams took part in competitive matches against other schools in both Boccia and Kurling.

Team 1 of KSS played 4 matches during their Boccia competition and finished in second place, being beaten in a close final against RAB. Both teams then went into play Kurling and played 4 very close matches, but unfortunately didn’t progress in this competition.

Team 2 also had an amazing Boccia competition, playing so well that they WON their competition.

This meant that Team 2 progressed to play for Gold and Silver and Team 1 played for bronze and fourth place.

Well done to both teams as Team 2 finished with a bronze medal and Team 1 finished with GOLD!!

Congratulations all and thanks to Mrs Owen, Mrs Gardiner and Mr Gilkes who attended.
