Norfolk Lakes - Day 1

Today marked the exciting beginning of the Year 6 residential visit to Norfolk Lakes. Our journey commenced with a lively stop at High Lodge, where the students enjoyed a delightful lunch amidst the natural beauty of the woodland surroundings. The children eagerly explored the diverse play equipment, which included climbing frames and zip lines, providing an excellent opportunity for physical activity and teamwork.

Following our visit to High Lodge, we continued our journey to Norfolk Lakes, where we arrived in the early afternoon. Upon arrival, the students were shown to their rooms and settled in with enthusiasm. The bright sunshine and clear skies set a perfect backdrop for the day's activities.

In the afternoon, all participants took part in a series of water-based activities at the lakes. The sunny weather was ideal for these activities, which included racing giant canoes and paddleboarding. The children displayed great excitement and a spirit of adventure as they navigated the water challenges and enjoyed the refreshing lake environment.

As the day drew to a close, we gathered for a hearty dinner, which was well-received by everyone. The meal provided a great opportunity for the students to refuel and share their experiences from the day. Following dinner, we began our evening activities, which included a mix of games and group activities designed to build camaraderie and provide further enjoyment.

Overall, spirits are high, and the students are clearly having a fantastic time. The positive energy and enthusiasm are palpable, setting a promising tone for the days ahead. We look forward to more adventures and memorable experiences throughout this residential visit.
