Year 2 Trip to Saffron Walden Museum

Year 2 had a wonderful day vising Saffron Walden museum, Bridge End gardens and the turf maze on the common. They found out lots about their local environment and even learned lots about the geology of Saffron Walden and the surrounding area. They also learned why buildings in the local area were built with the materials that they are. We then explored the museum and found lots of information about some other learning that we have been doing this year in Year 2: The story of Rama and Sita, The fire in The Rose and Crown Hotel, Winstanley’s lighthouse and life cycles. The children were AMAZING and coped well with walking in the rain, snow, sleet and even hail! Thank you to all the wonderful parent helpers who came with us. YOU were amazing too! Enjoy the photos.
