Year 3 Roman Day

Year 3 launched their Radical Romans topic with a Roman Day.  Unfortunately, our Roman centurian who was supposed to be arriving today was unwell at the last minute.  But nothing beats Katherine Semar!  Mrs Puxley, Mr Aiken, Mrs Sault, Mrs Margetson and the Year 3 teachers, Mrs Archer and Mrs Savill all leapt to the rescue and we had a fantastic day, learning a Roman dance to entertain the Emperor's daughter, the soldiers practised their marching drill (in Latin!), a Celtic and a Roman battle took place, as well as food from Celtic and Roman British feast.  

Our Roman Centurian has been rescheduled, so watch this space for more photographs of Roman Day Mark II!
