The Spirit of Christmas Concert

Some of the children at Katherine Semar volunteered to write their own carols with our music teacher, Mrs Cass, and submit them to the competition.

The children were hugely successful this year, being awarded 9 commended or highly commended  awards and also winning first, second and third place in the competition. Georgia W, in Year 4 won first prize for her song ‘Come together for Christmas’, Ellen B, also in Year 4 came second overall with her song ‘The Guiding Star’ and Arthur R (Year 3) came third with his song, ‘Christmas Gifts’.

“We are delighted that the children did so well this year.” Said Mr Hull, Deputy Headteacher. “Their compositions were exceptional.” The children were awarded certificates and won gift vouchers.
