BMX Resilience Assembly

On Tuesday 16^th June 2020, the children of Katherine Semar who are in school had an assembly on resilience from Mike Mullen, a former BMX world champion.

The workshop, booked before Covid19, had its own risk assessment before taking place and took place outside. The event was a transition activity for Y6 pupils, who are back to school under the government guidelines. The other Year 6 pupils, who were not in this week, will take part in the same activity next week.

We were fortunate to be able to show the other children some of the stunts during an assembly. The children heard the story of how he became so good at BMXing and inspired the children on how to overcome barriers in their lives.
