Junior School Harvest Festival

It was harvest festival day for the Junior school on Friday 12th October. 
Years 3 and 4 presented their harvest assembly at 9am with Year 4 retelling the parable of the seed. Songs included favourites such as ‘Big Red Combine Harvester’, ‘Paintbox/Cauliflowers Fluffy’ and the ‘Harvest Samba.’ Jo Goodhall received our harvest gifts on behalf of Uttlesford Foodbank and spoke about the work of foodbanks and how they help local people.
In the afternoon, Year 5 and 6 held their Harvest Festival, presenting songs and their work about harvest time. This time, Henry Wilson, who works with Jo, spoke to the children and their parents about his work with foodbanks and thanked everyone for their generosity in providing so many harvest gifts.
