The Bee Hive Company Visit Year 3
Year 3 had literally thousands of visitors last week! Sam, from The Bee Hive Company, brought all sorts of interesting bee keeping equipment such as a protective suit. He also had a small glass fronted hive for the children to find the queen bee. Sam then dressed up and the children had to find him where they thought a bee might find the most nectar and pollen.
The children were each given some bee wax to make a candle with - unfortunately, we had a poor batch that crumbled, so we look forward to Sam sending some more to us to have another go!
