Jubilee Celebrations

Katherine Semar School had a wonderful Jubilee celebration.  The children came to school dressed in Red, White and Blue. 

Each year group learnt about one of the seven decades in which the Queen reigned and then performed a song or dance from their decade. 

The school orchestra opened the show by playing the National Anthem which the whole school sang along to!  A trip down memory lane then followed for the staff who loved watching performances of Yellow Submarine by The Beatles from Year 1 and the Early Years children dancing the Cha Cha Slide from the noughties!  The children then enjoyed a Royal themed treasure hunt on the school field before enjoying a Jubilee Cupcake.  What a lovely way to end the half term!!
